Create a Budget Request in any Layout
When you log into CORE, you will land on the homepage for your primary assigned Business Role. To see the Quick Links specific to Performance Budgeting, select a PB Business Role from the drop-down under your name.

Press CTRL+P (for print dialogue)
Make sure the destination is set to PDF
Click Print
Name the document, set location, and Save.
Quick Links are the colorful icons on the top of your homepage. They provide direct access to CORE pages for the Business Role you are currently using, or they link to other resources like the CORE Support website.
This job aid explains how to enter a new budget request into a budget layout form within the Performance Budgeting application. Budget Layout Forms are used for any bill that impacts expenditures or FTEs. Please note that the process is the same, regardless of layout. For the purposes of this guide, Budget Layout 100 was used as an example.
Formulate and Select Budget Request Layout
In the global navigation bar, confirm Page Code is checked. Enter BUDR and select BUDR Formulate Budget Request
Alternately, you can click on the BUDR Quick Link tile
In the Code search/Filter field, enter 100*
Click Apply
Click the Select button for Budget Layout Code 100_CY_LEGISTLATION
Create a Budget Request Header
In the top right, click the Create button
Enter the following information in the Budget Request Details section:
Leave Request Number/Item # blank to auto-populate upon Save
Name: Should be your request name: Enter the title of the bill
Stage: Select the appropriate stage.
Note: In some Budget Request Layouts, there is an additional Budget Request Information required section.
In the COA Elements section, enter:
Organization: This is the first letter of your cabinet.
Bill Number: Should be the correct bill number tied to this entry
Click the Save button
Required fields for Budget Request Layout
Add Budget Lines
Click the Budget Lines 1 tab
Click the Insert ( + ) icon to add a new line
Enter the following information (You may need to use the slider at the bottom of the window to view fields to the right):
Spending Authority Indicator:
Organization:
Long Bill Line:
Appropriation Unit:
Activity:
Location Code:
Budget Object:
Fund:
Fund Type:
CY Expenditures:
CY Revenues: blank
CY Transfers: blank
Click the Save button
Click the Cancel button to exit the budget request
You can now repeat this process in order to submit additional Budget Lines. If the request is ready for OSPB review, follow the steps below to advance the stage.
Advance the Stage
On the Select Budget Request page, in the Name search field, enter the name or use an asterisk (*) for a wildcard search
Click the Search button
Click the line 3-dot and select Edit
Update Stage
Click the Save & Close button
