The upgraded CORE doesn't need a VPN. Instead, it uses Dual Factor Authentication. This involves sending a code to your email address associated with your CORE profile.

You want to be aware that CORE uses "new browser windows" to display the following types of information: Online documentation and personalize window (Need to confirm if this is still valid). If you use a pop-up ad blocker program and the CORE "new browser windows" do not display, you will want to disable your pop-blocker while using CORE. 

CORE is browser agnostic and users may use the browser of their choice. Java is required for accessing the CORE application.

There are many reasons why you may have issues connecting to CORE. Below are some troubleshooting tips to try when you have issues successfully connecting to CORE. 

• 1. Troubleshooting CORE Connectivity Issues:

     • Make sure that you are using the correct URL to access CORE. The correct URL is:
       https://codpa.cloud.cgifederal.com/webapp/PRDFIN2X1/Advantage
       
       NOTE: If you enter the URL in all lowercase, you will see a scheduled maintenance error. Please ensure that you are using the correct URL listed above.

  2. Check that your popup blocker has been disabled and Java is enabled. 

     • Java is required for accessing CORE Websites.

  3.  If you have already verified that you are using the correct URL to access CORE, you will want to clear your cache (history) in your browser. 

     • To clear your browser history, follow the directions below (providing steps for 3 popular browsers):

       • For Chrome:

         1. At the top right, select the three Dots on the top right

         2. Click More tools --> Clear browsing data.

         3. At the top, choose a time range. To delete everything, select All Time.

         4. Next to "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files," check the boxes.

         5. Click Clear Data.

     • For Edge:

       • 1. Select the three Dots on the top right

         2. Select Settings

         3. Select Privacy, search, and services

         4. Select Clear browsing data now, "Choose what to clear"

         5. Change the Time range to "All Time"

         6. Select "Clear Now"

     • For Firefox:

       • 1. Open Firefox

         2. Navigate to the "Options" panel (top right) and select options

         3. Navigate to "Advanced" and then to "Network"  

         4. Under Cached Web Content, click the "Clear Now" Button.
            
            

     • After you have cleared your browser history, you will want to close out your browser and bring CORE back up to see if your problem has been resolved.  If clearing your cache does not resolve the problem please let us know so we can continue work on the issue.

  4. Schedule Maintenance Error:  You may see this message outside of the normal schedule maintenance if you are entering the CORE URL in all lowercase.

Yes, when your session expires / times out, CORE4 will prompt you to enter a DFA code the next time you log in.

Users are having trouble with Chrome's autofill feature. It often puts saved usernames in the wrong spots. This includes the "name" field, the "search" field, or even a login for a different website. This results in frustration and potential security concerns.  To fix this, try clearing your saved password(s) in the browser. You can also update your browser settings. This lets you change how autofill works. For example, you can prioritize certain field labels.
