Process
Budget Requests are created during the budget development process and are part of the PB to CORE interface process. Advancing stages allows certain users to view and update a budget request at different points in time as part of the review and approval process. The process for advancing to the next stage is the same for all budget layout forms. There are different stages assigned for each budget layout form.

Important: Users cannot go back once a budget request has been advanced to a new stage and saved.
In this example, we are advancing a budget request in budget layout 100_CY_LEGISLATION, budget request code 23321
Page Code: BUDR
In the Code Field, enter 100*
Select Apply to see Budget Requests
On the Budget Layout Selection page, in the grid actions section, use the Select button to open the page to the budget requests
Search for the budget request layout. Options for searching include: search by Request Code, Organization, Name, Bill Number, Stage, and Draft Mode.
Use the “*” if you only know part of the name or code.
Select the search button
Once the budget request shows in the Grid Actions section, navigate to the 3-dot menu in the line action menu, select edit.
Navigate to the Stage field.
Select the drop-down field.
Select the option that best describes the next step in the review and approval process.
Select the Save button
