Steps to Establish a New Warehouse
This job aid describe the steps to establish a new warehouse.
Before you proceed with the following steps, if the new warehouse is outside the existing inventory departments (CAAA, DBAA, IHDA, PMAA, RBAA, RFAA, FHCA), a CGC request is needed for additional setup coordination. The CGC form can be found here.
2. Set up PLOC – Procurement Location
Send a request to the CORE Help Desk CORE.Help@state.co.us to create a new warehouse location if you can’t find the record on PLOC table.
Provide the follow information on the request:
Procurement Location (4 digits combing letters and numbers)
Location Name
Location Type
Address, City, State Zip Code and Country
3. Set up WHSE – Warehouse page.

4. Set up Warehouse Location tables. Please follow the top-down order to create these tables.
5. Entering Stock Items into the new warehouse.

If you can’t locate the 11-digit commodity you need, please send a request to the CORE Help Desk CORE.Help@state.co.us for assistance.
Once the stock item is entered on the INVN table, add the stock item on the UOMV table by following the job aid - Create a Record on Unit of Measure by Vendor and Item.
6. After the above steps, a new warehouse with stock items are ready for daily operation.
