Entering Commodities into a Warehouse
Process
Once a new warehouse is setup, Commodities must be added to the warehouse. All commodities are managed in the Inventory Table (INVN). To add Commodities to a new Warehouse, follow the steps below:
1. Enter INVN in the Global Search field.
2. Select Create
3. Under General Information enter the following:
Warehouse, Stock Item, Stock Item Suffix, Quantity per Issue, ABC Class, Stock Group, UR Stock Request Transaction Code, Costing Method (Average Costing), Issue Unit, Purchase Unit, Multiplier, and Smaller Unit.
Enter Keyword Search and Extended Description (if applicable).
Check the Active Flag.
4. Under Pricing enter the following:
Pricing Method: Fixed Surcharge
Percent Surcharge: 0
Fixed Surcharge: 0
Maximum Surcharge: 0
Standard Price: 0
Maximum Issue, Minimum Issue decided by warehouses
5. Under Location, enter the Primary Bin.
