Is there a report in infoAdvantage that I can run to tell me what Security Roles allow document approval for certain document types in CORE?
The SEC-006 - Security Role Access Information report will provide you with this information. You will want to export the report to excel and filter it based on the Security Role ID.
What does the ANY access security role provide?
The ANY role is a default role given to all CORE users. This allows you to view transactions in CORE, however, you will not have access to look at confidential information (i.e. GAX3, Vendor TINs and Banking Information). You will also not have the ability to edit, submit or approve transactions.
I just added a workflow role for a user, and they are able to grab the transaction and add it to their worklist, but they are getting an error when trying to approve/reject a transaction. Why?
You will want to make sure that they have the corresponding transaction approver role (APPR) added into the Security Role section of the UDOC. The transaction approval role in the Security Role section allows for the Workflow Roles to function properly within CORE.
What roles does an auditor need in CORE?
Auditors require the ANY security role. No other security or workflow roles are necessary.
