Creating a Stand-Alone Solicitation

Process:

This job aid describes steps to create a Stand-Alone Solicitation for all departments. You can create several different stand-alone solicitation transactions (DQ1, IFB1, RFP, NPSS1, RFI, RFQ, RFQ1). For training purposes, we will use an RFP as an example. To create a stand-alone solicitation, you will want to follow the steps below:

a. Select Request for Proposals.

b. Click Create

c. Enter Department Code in Transaction Dept field.

d. Enter Unit in Transaction Unit field (optional)

e. Check Auto Numbering.

f.  Click Continue.

2. Select Header Tab.

3. Select Terms and Conditions tab.

4. Select Scheduled of Events section.

5. Select the Commodity tab.

a. Refer to the lists below for required information of each Line Type

Note: Vendors who registered for any of the commodity codes listed on the solicitation receive an email notification of the solicitation, unless a Vendor List is used.

6. Select Publishing Tab.

7. Select Validate and Submit.
