Personnel Administration supports the management of employee records. It enables entities within the State of Colorado to create and maintain employee profiles, process personnel actions, and update employment status and attributes. This area ensures consistency across Human Resource Management (HRM) functions and accurate integration with Position Control and Payroll systems.
The Employee Profile Management (EPM) activity folder centralizes employee-related data entry and maintenance. Users can search for and select employees from a results grid and access related pages using the secondary navigation panel or page-level (three-dot) menu.

Inquiry pages provide read-only access to detailed employee records and personnel action information, enabling users to accurately manage personnel data. These tools are essential for researching employee history, verifying employment status, and reviewing past transactions. Each inquiry type offers access to specific employee data, serving unique purposes such as auditing historical records, validating personnel actions, reviewing demographic changes, and confirming current employment details.
More about the Personnel Administration inquiries can be found here.
The Employee Pay Rate History (QRTE) inquiry details an employee's pay progression. When reviewing base pay, asterisks indicate dates without a found pay rate. For non-base pay, date ranges lacking a pay rate are not displayed. This inquiry provides a comprehensive look at an employee's historical pay rates.
The Employee Salary Inquiry (QSAL) shows the employee’s calculated monthly salary. The inquiry can also display their pay rates by hour, pay period, month, and year.
The Employee Social Security Number Inquiry (QSSN) allows users to search for employee records using a Social Security Number (SSN). This page is helpful when confirming identity or resolving duplicate or missing records. The inquiry returns employee details associated with the SSN, including name, employee ID, and employment status. Use of this inquiry is generally limited to authorized personnel due to the sensitivity of SSN data.
The Employment Verification (QVER) inquiry provides a summary of employee data from Employment Status Maintenance (ESMT), Employee Attribute Maintenance (ATTR), Employee Emergency Contact (EMER), and Department Specific Data (DEPTD) transactions.
