Copying Forward a Transaction from an Open Transaction
To create a new transaction based on a previous transaction in the referencing chain that has been finalized, you will want to use Copy Forward. This action can be invoked from an open transaction.
1. Open the transaction you want to Copy Forward.
2. Click on Copy Forward.
3. Highlight the appropriate Target Transaction Type / Target Transaction Code
4. Enter the Department in the Transaction Department Code field.
5. Enter the Unit in the Unit Code field (if applicable).
6. Enter the Transaction ID (if applicable) otherwise click on Auto Numbering.
7. Click OK.
