What are Alerts in CORE?
Alert Management in CORE allows CORE Operations to send messages to users within the system. Examples include:
Notifications about scheduled system maintenance (e.g., CORE, PB, iA downtime).
Messages regarding fiscal year-end (FYE) activities.
Updates on current in-app outages, performance issues, and their resolutions (e.g., Attachments, iA).
How do I know if I have new alerts?
An alert icon (a bell) in the menu area will display a red circle with a number. This number indicates how many unread alerts you have. Selecting the alert icon will show you a list of new alerts.
How can I view all my alerts?
From the "New Alerts" listing, you can select the "View All" button at the bottom. This will open the Alerts page to the "Received" tab, showing all alerts that haven't expired or been personally deleted.
How do I clear an alert from the "New Alerts" listing?
You can select the "X" icon next to the alert in the "New Alerts" listing. This removes it from that specific list but does not delete it from your "inbox" of alerts.
Why did a message pop up on my screen?
If you are logged in when a "Critical" priority alert is sent (either "Immediate" or "Scheduled delivery"), the message will pop up over your current view. If you are not logged in, the alert will appear upon your next login, provided it hasn't expired. Critical alert pop-ups include a "Close" button.
How long after my CORE access has been disabled will I be unsubscribed from CORE News?
The CORE distribution list is updated weekly.
Why am I no longer receiving CORE News Communications?
If your CORE access has been disabled, you will be unsubscribed from CORE News. If your CORE access is still active, you will want to check your filters, block list, and spam/junk folder to make sure that the emails are not inadvertently being blocked or filtered to another folder in your inbox.
Where can I locate the Period Close Calendar?
The Open/Close Calendar is your source for important dates, such as Period Open/Close, Escheatment, Labor Allocation, Mass Depreciation, and CORE System Maintenance. The calendar can be found on the Fiscal Rules & Procedures website.
How do I create a filter in my email so communications I receive, go to Primary tab?
Once you locate the email communication/newsletter:
Click into it
Right click the 3 dots in upper right corner of message
Select "Filter messages like these"
Select "Create Filter"
Select the "Categorize" item and then "Primary" from the drop down list
Select "Create Filter"
