Creating an Internal Exchange Transaction (IET)
Process
This job aid describes the process to create an IET for an Internal Purchase or Sale.
Navigate to Global Search Bar and enter IET.
Select Internal Exchange Transaction.
2. On Financial Transaction Page.
Confirm the appropriate Transaction Code has populated in Transaction Code field.
Enter appropriate Transaction Department.
Click the Create button.
3. On Create Transaction Page:
Check Auto Numbering box.
Click Continue Button.
4. In the Internal Exchange Transaction page select the Header Tab.
Expand the General Information sub section.
Enter Transaction Name.
Enter Transaction Description.
Expand Extended Description sub section and enter A.
Confirm Provider/Seller is selected in the Initiator field. Refer to ETYP to determine which role to select for your event type.
Click Save button.
5. On the Internal Exchange Transaction Page select the Exchange Details tab.
Click the + symbol to insert new line.
Click the Caret to expand the line.
Select the General Information subsection.
Enter Line Amount.
Select IN32 from the Event Type picklist and click the OK button.
6. Select the 1st Party COA subsection.
Enter Fund, Department, Unit, Appr. Unit and Revenue.
Click the Save button.
7. On the Internal Exchange Transaction Page select the 2nd Party Accounting tab.
Click the + symbol to insert new line.
Click the Caret to expand the line.
Select the General Information subsection.
Enter Line Amount.
8. Select the COA subsection.
Enter Fund, Department, Unit, Appr. Unit and Revenue.
Click the Save button.
Click the Validate button and Submit button.
