Setting Up the Fixed Percentage Method of Allocation

Process

This job aid describes functions pertaining to Cost Allocation setup: Setup the Fixed Percentage Method of Allocation.

3.  Click Create

Create button

Setup the ALOC page.

a. Enter the Allocation ID and Description.

b. Select the Allocation Frequency.

c. Select Collected Revenues as the Allocation Type.

d. Select Pool for all the Inheritance Type fields.

e. Select Save.

4.  Select the 3 dot menu on the top right and click on the Cost Allocation Series setup link option

aClick on Create

b. Type 1 in the Series ID field.

c. Enter the Series Description.

d. Leave the Inheritance Type fields set to Default.

e. Select Save.

5.  Set up the Step page for Step 1.

  a. Click Create in the top right side of the screen

b. Type 1 in the Step No field.

c. Enter the Description.

d. Select Fixed Percentage from the Base Type list.

e. Select the Inheritance Type for each field.

   i. Base - Fund and Department/Unit.

          ii. Pool - All remaining inheritance fields.

f. Select Save.

6. Setup the STEP page for Step 2.

a. Select Create in the top right side of the screen.

b. Type 2 in the Step No field.

c. Enter the Description.

d. Select Fixed Percentage from the Base Type.

e. Select the Inheritance Type for each field.

   i. Base - Fund and Department/Unit.

  ii. Pool - All remaining inheritance fields.

f. Select Save.

7. Setup the STEP page for Step 3.

a. Select Create from the top  right side of the screen .

b. Type 3 in the Step No field.

c. Enter the Description.

d. Select Fixed Percentage from the Base Type.

e. Select the Inheritance Type for each field.

i. Base - Fund and Department/Unit.

ii. Pool - All remaining inheritance fields.

f. Select Save.

23. Setup the Step 1 Pool Distribution

a. Select the Fund Rollup Type.

b. Enter the Fund.

c. Select Revenue from the Obj/Rev Indicator list.

d. Select 1 from the Object/Revenue Source Roll Type pick list.

e. Enter the Object/Revenue Source, Dept, Unit, Appr Unit Rollup Type, and Appr Unit.

f. Select Save.
