What is Zero Dollar Budget Roll?

The ZERO Dollar ($0) budget roll process is a procedure for identifying the active budget lines in the current fiscal year and rolling a $0 budget amount into the new fiscal year. This process is scheduled to occur annually in the month of February, following the New Year Table Initialization (NYTI) process.

Which budget structures are included in the zero dollar budget roll?

Budget structure 190/191 and 193 are included in the zero dollar budget roll.

Budget Structure 192 and 194 are not included in the zero dollar budget roll process because budgets are auto-created throughout the year.

What is Budget Structure 193/194 Roll?

The budget roll process identifies the unobligated balance for an appropriation in the previous budget fiscal year and rolling that amount into the new budget fiscal year as the beginning balance. Currently, this feature is only utilized for appropriations under the budget structures 193 and 194.
