Processing a Cash Receipt (CR) that References a Receivable (RE)
Process
This job aid describes the actions taken to process Cash Receipts that reference a receivable.
1. On the Secondary Navigation Panel.
a. Expand Search.
b. Select Transaction Catalog.
2. Enter Transaction ID of desired document.
a. Select Browse.
b. Select ID link.
3. Select Copy Forward.
a. Enter Transaction Department Code.
b. Enter Unit Code.
c. Select the Auto Numbering checkbox.
d. Verify CR is checked in Target Doc Type.
e. Select OK.
4. In the General Information tab in the Header section:
a. Select the Bank Account pick list icon.
b. Select the Select link beside the appropriate bank name.
c. Enter Bank Deposit Date.
d. Select Save.
5. In the General Information tab in the Vendor section:
a. Confirm Line Amount.
6. In the Payment Information tab in the Vendor section:
a. Confirm Payment Date.
b. If the payment type is Check or EFT, enter Cash/EFT Number.
c. Select Save.
7. In the General Information tab in the Accounting section:
a. Confirm Line Amount.
b. Confirm Event Type.
c. Select Save.
8. In the Reference Information tab in the Accounting section, verify:
a. Ref Transaction Code.
b. Ref Transaction Dept.
c. Ref Transaction ID.
9. Select Validate and Submit.
a. Close the CR Transaction.
10. (Optional) If you wish to verify the RE transaction has been liquidated after the CR has been approved, verify the RE transaction:
a. Actual Amount.
b. Close Amount.
c. Closed Date.
