Foreign Org Access

Home > Security & Workflow > FAQs: Foreign Org Access

How do I select multiple items in the worklist to allow simultaneous approval of transactions?

The Worklist and other pages across the application have a "Select All" box on the left-hand side and you can then approve them via the vertical 3-dot menu.

After requesting Foreign Org access, how long does it take before I can begin to create transactions outside of my home department?

After requesting CORE Foreign Org access, you will want to allow 2 to 5 business days for the System Administration to process your request. (Note: Even if System Administration processes your Foreign Org Access on the same day that it was requested, you will still need to wait for the nightly cycle to process in order for your access to be active).

If it has been more than 5 business days and you're having an issue accessing departments outside of your home department, please email CORE Help Desk (core.help@state.co.us) for further help.  Please be sure to include the CORE User ID, department code, transaction type and a brief explanation of what you're trying to do (enter, approve, modify, etc).

Why is CORE not allowing me to create/modify and submit transactions in another department (other than my home department)?

In order to be able to create, modify, and submit transactions in another department, other than your home department, you will need Foreign Org access. To request Foreign Org access, you will want to work with your CORE Security Administrator.

Once Foreign Org access has been requested, you will want to allow 2 to 5 business days for your request to be processed.

Who do I contact if I requested Foreign Org access, and it has not been added to the CORE Users Security Roles?

If it has been more than 5 business days and you're having an issue accessing departments outside of your home department, please email CORE Help Desk (core.help@state.co.us) for further help.  Please be sure to include the CORE User ID, department code, transaction type and a brief explanation of what you're trying to do (enter, approve, modify, etc).

How do I request Foreign Org access to be removed from a security role assigned to a user that will still need CORE access.

To have Foreign Org access removed for a CORE User, you will want to contact CORE Help (core.help@state.co.us) and request for Foreign Org to be removed. When sending your request, please specify which Security Roles no longer require Foreign Org access along with the CORE User ID.   Your request will be processed within one business day.

Do I need to submit an additional request to CORE Help to have Foreign Org access added for a User?

No, per the CORE Access Policy found on the Security and Workflow Policies page, Department security administrators will communicate foreign organizational access needs with a comment on every UDOC explicitly listing departments the user needs access.

Once a UDOC is finalized, CORE Operations is sent an automatic notification of your request.
