Can I schedule reports in Insight today?
Not yet. Scheduling reports is not currently available in Insight. It is under development on the product roadmap for Insight, and we hope to have it implemented sometime in Summer 2026, pending satisfactory testing.
I don’t see the Semantic Model information when I export a report to Excel. Is it missing?
This information is currently not available on the Cover Page of both report types, Analytic and Paginated. There is planned work to add this.
Is there a row count limit on exporting Insight reports?
Yes, these are the following limitations:
Analytic Reports:
.CSV files have a 30,000 row limit
.XLSX files have a 150,000 row limit
.PDF files have a 50-page limit. They also need to be under 250 MB.
Paginated Reports:
.CSV/.XLSX files have a 1,000,000 row limit
Is there an easy way to export the Cover Page for Analytic reports?
Currently, no. Exporting reports in the Analytic style is limited. To save the Cover Page of Analytic reports, you can either take a screenshot or save as a PDF via your web browser’s Print → Destination → Save as PDF feature.
Where can I find the Query Information in the report?
This is only available for Paginated Reports, and it’s located on the report’s cover page under “Query Information.” You may need to expand the collapsed field in Excel to view it.
Why are all exported files named “data”, “data (1)”, “data (2)”, etc.?
File naming for Analytic report exports is currently generic. There is a plan to adjust downloaded file names for Analytic exports, but it is not yet scheduled. When exporting multiple reports, you’ll get duplicate‑style names (e.g., data, data (1), data (2)). It’s easy to lose track unless you rename immediately.
Workaround:
Rename on download:
After each export, rename the file right away in your Downloads folder.
Use a clear naming convention, for example:
ReportName_YYYY‑MM‑DD.xlsx
ReportName_FilterKey_YYYY‑MM‑DD.xlsx
Why can’t I export an entire Analytics report at once?
Analytics reports must be exported one tab at a time. Each tab is treated as its own exportable element, so there is no option to export the full report in a single action. Each visual within a tab is considered separate. If a tab includes multiple visuals, each visual must be exported individually.
Why does the Insight report only have a "Raw Data" tab instead of the multiple tabs from infoAdvantage?
Some infoAdvantage reports contain report tabs that have data grouped in a complex way. The Analytic Reports in Insight have technical limitations regarding how they handle complex, multi-level grouping (e.g., multiple group levels followed by detailed dimensions). Attempting to recreate the old grouped view in Insight results in a messy layout that requires tedious, repetitive clicking just to scroll horizontally.
Because flattening the grouped view to fix the scrolling issue makes it look identical to the "Raw Data" tab anyway, we streamlined the reports that fall into this category to only include the raw data view. This ensures a cleaner, more reliable user experience. An example of this would be the GA-006 report.
Why doesn’t the exported file of Analytic reports display data like the existing infoAdvantage report?
The Analytic report exports use a different layout/rendering model. Because Analytic reports are designed and rendered differently from infoAdvantage reports, the exported data may not match the IA report’s structure (e.g., grouping, merged cells, formatting). This is expected behavior for Analytics exports.
Workaround:
If you need the same layout for sharing, consider exporting to PDF (via your web browser’s Print → Destination → Save as PDF feature)
If you need the data in Excel, expect to re‑format columns (unmerge cells, re‑apply filters/grouping, etc.) after export.
