Selling an Asset to an Outside Entity
Process
Navigate to the Fixed Asset Registry Component Table
In the Global search bar with Page Code selected, enter FARCOMP and select Fixed Asset Registry Component
Enter the following information in the Filters Section:
Fixed Asset Number
Click Apply
Review FARCOMP information for the selected Fixed Asset
Click on the Expand all arrow left of the Fixed Asset Number and review all the information on the FARCOMP Table
Review the Acquisitions and Disposition sub-tab details
Create a new Fixed Asset Disposition Transaction In the Transaction Catalog click on the Create Button in the upper right-hand corner.
In the Create Transaction Page, enter the following:
Transaction Code: FD
Transaction Dept.:
Transaction Unit:
Click Auto Numbering
Click Continue
Populate the Header Section
Enter the following information in the General Information Section
Transaction Name
Transaction Description
Fixed Asset Number
Event Type: XF04 (Dispose of a Fixed Asset)
Auto Apply
Click the 3-dot menu on the middle-right of the Header page and then click Auto Apply
Most of the Transaction information will be filled in by Auto Apply
Populate the Component section
Click on the Component Tab
Enter the following information in the Disposition sub-tab:
Disposition Method
Selling Price
Validate and Submit the Transaction
On the top-right corner, Click the Validate Button
Correct any errors that display at the top of the page
Once the Transaction validates successfully click the Submit Button
View changes to the Component on the FARCOMP Table
In the Global search bar with Page Code selected, enter FARCOMP and select Fixed Asset Registry Component
Enter the following information in the Filters Section:
Fixed Asset Number
Click Apply
Click on the Expand all arrow left of the Fixed Asset Number and click on the Disposition sub-tab. Review all the information on the FARCOMP Table
